We are located in Chula Vista, CAlifornia, just off San Diego Bay, between San Diego and the border with Mexico. We have our own shop where we make all our products.

We start with hefty marble blocks hauled right from the quarry, so we can cut any sizes we choose. First we saw off blanks weighing one or two tons; and production then proceeds with further cuts and handwork to get the final product. To a considerable degree every piece is handmade, and each is carefully inspected at various stages toward its completion.

We also sand-etch and color fill, for clients who want their marble engraved and completed with a single responsibility.

A considerable part of our work is custom - that is, making special and individual pieces and assemblies to the precise order of a particular client. (Of course all our clients are particular.) We produce lots of different special items: perhaps a base for statuary, a tree trunk for an eagle, a giant arrowhead, an arch, a temple, a big shamrock in green. Sometimes the call is for what we made six years ago, and we rummage through files and sketches and templates to recover the exact details.

The other half of our work is supplying any desired quantity out of a couple hundred or so different standard items, some of which are listed on this web site, in all sizes: - bases, risers, pyramids, obelisks, octagons, columns, rounds, cardholders, pen bases, and so on, and with any variation that may be requested: like holes and counter bores, a recess, a place to put a light, and limitless special touches and slants and slots that personalize the pieces to the requirements of the buyer.

MARBLE ART - ONYX ART, with twenty years of service to its clients, is recognized for fine marble quality and finish and craftsmanship.

This quality is due in part to the choice marble we bring from the quarry, and is achieved mainly because of a roster of well-trained craftsmen patiently collected and brought together, and closely directed on every task. You can count on attention to your specific requirements.

Rush orders are another specialty: we are happy that we have often saved the day for clients having sudden needs or changes, But this is not always possible, for to produce a well-finished piece of marble takes its own un hurrying time.

We place no limit on the quantity offered - we frequently accept orders for a single piece, or for just a few, as well as for fairly substantial quantities. As for size, that's no problem for MARBLE ART - ONYX ART. Since we start with ten- ton quarry blocks, and cut down from the solid, articles of 20 and 30-inch dimensions are taken in stride. Again, we saw and finish to a thickness as minimal as ¼", and in small sizes. And we sand-etch and color fill on order, whether one or many.
